Apart from immigration control, one of the primary role of Labuan Immigration Office is accept and process of passport application. The office  also issues other travel documents, such as Border Pass Malaysia - Indonesia and Collective Travel Document.

The objective of Labuan Immigration Office is to manage immigration affairs in accordance with national interests and always committed in providing excellent immigration services to fulfill the needs of the clients.

Malaysia Passport is a valid travel document issued by the Malaysian Government for the purpose of traveling abroad. Validity of Malaysia Passport is five (5) years from the date of issued. Renewal of Malaysia Passport for the new passport that has a validity of 6 months or less, the new one will have 5 years validity plus maximum 6 months remaining validity in the old passport.


The fees for the Malaysia Passport differ according to the pages of the Passport. The price from RM200.00 (Valid for 5 years). Half price for senior citizens (60 years old & above), hajj pilgrimage, children below 12 years old and student below 21 years old with proof to study abroad on the day submission entitled to half price from normal price.

The form required to fill up when apply Malaysia Passport is Form A - IM.42 - Pin 1/1997. The form can be obtained from any Malaysia Immigration Office or downloaded from Malaysia Immigration Department website (Should be printed both side on white A4 size paper). Other documents required are Identification Card (Original and photocopy), Birth Certificate (original and photocopy), photocopies must in A4 size paper.

With effective from 3 Jan 2011, the selected immigration offices will working on Saturday and Sunday from 8.00am to 1.00pm. The services provided only limited to Malaysia International Passport application and processing only. More information, check here.

1. What are the forms and documents required in passport application process?

2: How long does a passport application process?
A: The passport can be issued within 1 hours for passport issuance offices and 3 working days for recipient office. Please refer to immigration offices in this website for further information.

3: I'm planning to submit my passport application, when is the peak period to avoid?
A: Most of the Immigration Offices are peak on Monday, Friday, Saturday (for selected branch only), school holidays, eve and the day after public holiday.

4: I'm a 60 year old pensioner. Am I eligible for a half priced for passport fee?
A: Yes, price of RM100 for 5 years for 48 pages Malaysia Passport for senior citizens (60 years old & above) and children aged below 12 years old. Check the Malaysia Passport prices Here.

5: I have two (2) children. Can I include their particulars in my passport?
A: The new Malaysian Passport System does not allow the inclusion of children's particulars in the parents' passport to be made. They have to apply themselves.
